# The 12-hour timeframe is a deliberate choice to balance out the time needed to get everything sorted out and introduce rational thinking and not raising issues with Stewards being promoted out of the blue because they "quit yesterday and decided to come back".
# This part is very unclear. Do you mean that we should allow any Steward who resigns to come back within 12 hours of their resignation or force them to go through the RfP process again if they quit? If the former, then no, because a Steward can resign under a cloud and then just come back like nothing happened, avoiding scrutiny from the community; if the latter, then I'm neutral on removing it.

# I agree with this, though the way it's currently written is technically redundant.
# If users must create alternate accounts to vote and alternate accounts are banned from voting, how do you expect people to vote?
# This is an awful idea and should never be implemented - since nothing in this proposal bans Stewards from voting on their own requests, a Steward can open an RfC, vote in favor of it, and then close it as successful, thus allowing them to change policy however and whenever they want. We should be aiming for a representative consensus-based system, not a dictatorship in all but name. [[User:Tali64^2|Tali64^2]] ([[User talk:Tali64^2|talk]]) 08:12, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
