Confirmation of Cocopuff2018 as Steward
Ever since Cocopuff founded SkyWiki, he has been active in reverting vandalism and helping users with their wikis. However, he is also quite the controversial figure in the wiki world - from allegations of vandalizing his own wikis for years to leaking user data, he's been at the forefront of a lot of drama. Eventually, this ended up culminating in Cocopuff formally resigning as Steward in favor of being a Global Administrator, only to declare that he would not resign a mere hour later; thus, I'm making this RfP to let the community decide if Cocopuff should continue in any community role (he is still Global Administrator at the time this RfP was made). Statement from candidate
I would like to begin by extending my sincerest apologies to the community for my shortcomings in leadership. I have found it necessary to step back on several occasions due to the drama and pressure I have experienced. Despite facing harassment and bullying from certain community members, I have persevered in my commitment to serve this community. Today, I wish to clarify my position and provide reasons why I believe I should continue as a steward.
Firstly, I would like to address the evidence presented against me, which I believe is insufficient. Many users utilize Samsung devices, and I have been wrongly accused of being another individual. It is important to note that user agents do not provide a complete picture. Additionally, I have a deep passion for serving Skywiki, having been involved since its inception. My dedication to this project is evident, as I have invested significant effort, particularly in addressing vandalism and managing requests.
If I were to be removed from my role as steward, I fear that Skywiki would experience a decline, and requests would not be handled as promptly. I have consistently encouraged our staff to prioritize request management and have accomplished a great deal in my capacity as steward. While I acknowledge that I have made mistakes in the past, I am committed to self-improvement and to continuing my service to the community.
I recognize that some of the evidence against me may not hold validity, in my humble opinion. I am aware that my past actions have not always reflected the best judgment, and I am eager to take the necessary time to grow and improve. My dedication to Skywiki spans nearly two years, and I genuinely love what I do. I wish to demonstrate to the community my remorse for my previous actions and my commitment to making positive changes.
I would like to express that I have been subjected to multiple attempts aimed at damaging my reputation. I believe that if such attempts occur again, it is essential for me to continue in my role as steward. My commitment to personal growth and to the community motivates my request to remain in this position --Cocopuff2018 (talk) 23:08, 1 January 2025 (UTC)

Oppose
- I am against Coco keeping the role. At this point he has proven that he does not know how to properly setup a good example as a Steward. --JWRAlarms (talk) 23:23, 1 January 2025 (UTC)
Neutral
- i just joined the community, i have no idea what is even going on, so i can't really vote, but i guess in actuality i don't really care --Tarania7898 (talk) 23:35, 1 January 2025 (UTC)
So, I'll start by saying that Cocopuff requested via Discord that I vote in this request (though he did not request that I vote in a particular manner). My understanding of the accusations is not firsthand, and if I am being frank they do not come from people whose credibility I can readily evaluate or with whom I have prior experience.
I am of two minds. The first is that Skywiki is Cocopuff's invention, and I don't think it has grown to the Wikipedia tipping point where the (co-)creator is no longer the owner of the project. That woudld suggest supporting Coco's request.
On the other hand, I am not in love with the statement. "I will improve" is a lot more convincing when the person is specific about what went wrong... And the diva quit followed by turning around and revoking your resignation is less than impressive, and goes completely unaddressed in the statement.
So my heart says support. My head says oppose. I land in neutral.
If this passes, my advice to Cocopuff is to be careful and remember that you are not irreplaceable. None of us are. Be kind, be honest, be open, and don't bite off more than you can chew. And my advice to the community: If you don't like how Skywiki is being run, talk to Coco or whoever is in charge. Explain – politely! – your concerns. And if all else fails, you don't have to contribute to Skywiki. You are all volunteers, and you can help improve other wikis.
