I just created a new wiki

Special:RequestImport; if that falis, please file a Phabricator task with a link to the dump in question. When a data dump is sufficiently large enough, it can only be imported via RequestImport or command line, which does not involve user input besides providing the dump. Wiki maintenance

So my wiki is officially up and running, but there are a couple of issues I need help with.

How do I get the various templates to show up? Most of them aren't; do I have to remake them from scratch or is there a setting for re-adding the templates?

Also, whenever I click on a section of an article while in mobile view, it doesn't show the section. How do I fix that? Rangerkid51 (talk) 04:06, 31 December 2024 (UTC)

1. It appears that most of your modules were imported as plain text, which has the side effect of breaking templates that are dependent on them - to fix this, you will have to manually adjust the content model of all of the pages in the Module namespace to "Scribunto module" via Special:ChangeContentModel on your wiki. You will also need to enable PortableInfobox for your infoboxes since it is not currently enabled.
2. Reloading a page where this happens appears to fix the issue for that session.

1. Make sure that you have this list and this page open in two different tabs. Once you have done so, copy the first page title from the list, go to the second page you have open (this should contain only a single input box with the label "Page title:"), and paste it into said box. Once you click "Change", a dropdown menu should appear - click it, and you should see an option that says "Scribunto module"; make sure that the dropdown is set to that. The second and last input box does not have to be filled. Once you have completed these steps, click "Change" again. You have successfully changed the content model of a page - go back to the list of pages and move down one item. You will repeat the process for that item. If you have reached the last item in the column, move right one column and scroll up to the first item of said column; if you do not have any more columns to the right of your current one, you are done.
2. On your mobile web browser of choice, look for an icon that resembles a circular line segment pointing to its own end; this icon may be in a secret menu hidden behind three vertical dots. Once you have successfully found the aforementioned icon, click it; this will instruct your web browser to send a new request to the web server to fetch a new copy of the page you are currently browsing. If you are fortunate, the webpage you have reloaded will be fully functional, thus resolving the problem of the collapsible sections not functioning properly.

Collapsable sections

If you look around in the menus for some time, you will notice this page in which you can enable extensions for your wiki. You may notice the search bar at the top. If you type something along the lines of "video" or "youtube" in it, you will find multiple extensions that enable you to embed videos on your wiki - you will probably want the one that says "YouTube". Issues with Vector view
